It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve written a blog post. I can’t believe we are in October already! I find myself saying and typing often, “Time is flying.” 2017 is literally 3 months away. Wow!
I have to admit I’ve slacked some on my writing duties. All for valid reasons. However, if you follow me on my other social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat (@ HealthWellnessL), you will know that I’ve been consistently updating my health, wellness and lifestyle daily activities there. The past, let’s say four months, have been such a significant transitional time for me. In the summer, I took a bit of a social media break. Not that long, but long enough to release and detox some things. The result of that was a new job that pays me more, gives me my holiday breaks back for travel opportunities (yay!), and one that is aligned to the work I had been doing in health and human services for the past 2 years. I also reconciled a relationship that was deeply important to me. Amazing things happen when you release and let go.
I also moved (within my city). I now live approximately 10 minutes away from my job. Living in the 4th largest city in America where 1+ hour-long traffic is the norm, my quality of life has greatly improved. In fact, my reasons for moving were to start over in every sense of the word, but also to reduce stress of having a long commute. My wellness is that important to me. Since changing my living arrangements just a mere 3 weeks ago now, so many other things have opened up in my life on a personal level. It was almost as if the universe was waiting for me to change my setting to provide me with what I need at >this< point in my journey. I'm grateful and embrace it. I've always said there is power and energy in geographic places, spaces and environments. I truly believe that.
Moving Day - September 10, 2016
This whole process of change is one that I embrace fully. It hasn’t been easy either. I’ve had to do a lot of these changes on my own. Sometimes life is like that. Sometimes you have a lot people around you. And sometimes you have to walk parts of your journey alone. Sometimes you have lots of people around you, but still have to do things on your own.
The benefits of living an overall healthy and well lifestyle have proven to be beneficial during these transitional months. I have had to use every emotional, mental and physical, especially physical strength, to get what needs to be done…done. I am thankful and grateful too. Because I know I won’t have to do it alone for too much longer. I also know that if I were not in good health and shape, I probably wouldn’t have been able to get through these past few months with little exhaustion and fatigue. Health is wealth and I don’t take it for granted.

My continued goals for myself are to not ever get in my own way. I have other specific goals obviously. But the overarching lifetime goal is to accomplish my goals and do everything in my human capacity to make them a reality in this lifetime. I also plan on doing everything in my capacity to choose health and wellness in the process.
As we prepare to celebrate the end of the year holidays (or not), what are some of your goals to close out the year? There's no time like the present. You don't have to wait for a new year to start or continue your dreams.
Send me an email at email@example.com and let me know what is on your personal to-do goal list for the rest of 2016.
